We all need a little downtime to disconnect from the world and immerse ourselves in our passions and hobbies and a great way to do that is to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good documentary.

These are not highly budgeted Hollywood productions but that is one of the reasons they have so much charm. Another reason is that they take us, cigar aficionados, back to our favorite places on earth: tobacco farms, factories, and lounges.

Here are our suggestions:

1. The Fabulous Story Of Puro

From seed to ash, this documentary covers it in a very romantic way. You will be transported to a world where everything seemed more genuine, more simple, and more experienced than it is today. The love and heritage of Cuban cigars are very present in this documentary.

4. Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars

“In 1942, native Cubans gave Columbus an offering of dried leaves sparking a voracious, worldwide appetite for tobacco and forging an artisan tradition which would spread across Latin America for centuries and endless debates over who makes the best cigars. Today, the FDA and big tobacco threaten artisan cigar makers blurring the line between premium hand-rolled & flavored machine-made cigars fudging the data on youth use statistics and endangering entire economies”.
